Session 1: AI Governance
To underestimate AI value and delay adoption may be an existential risk for many organizations. Equally, embracing AI too quickly without paying adequate attention to matters such as privacy, compliance with legal requirements (e.g. the EU AI Act) and accountability risks can have similarly negative consequences. The journey to broad AI adoption should therefore take a “compliance by design”- approach considering legal requirements throughout the AI lifecycle to reduce risks for all stakeholders. The use of generative AI produces novel issues relating to trust, discrimination, privacy, transparency, copyright and more that must be taken into account by developers, providers and users of AI systems.
Session 2: The Future of Work in the Age of AI
Rapid technological developments, like advances in AI, are leaving business leaders wondering: What does the future of work hold? What work will be left for humans versus machines? How can my organization best be prepared for these changes and make the most of AI? To answer these questions, leaders need to understand more about data and AI and the potential competitive advantage they present, as well as the associated risks. Knowledge about block box AI and explainability, agentic AI systems, and the future of collaboration between humans and AI is imperative. As well, leaders need a broader perspective on the future of work, including understanding what it (can) mean, how leaders can play a role in shaping it, and how to realize a future of work where human values are enhanced amidst rapid technological evolution. Integrating new technologies such as AI into the workplace can be complex and time-consuming, but that isn’t the end of the story. Companies also need to ensure their employees are comfortable with and skilled in using new technologies. Understanding the upskilling, mindsets, and leadership needed in times of technological change can help to ensure organizations overcome these significant hurdles.
Session 3: The AI-savvy leader
The AI transformation is underway, but where are the leaders who will ensure their companies implement AI successfully and responsibly? Up until now, leaders have largely ceded their role in the AI transformation, pushing strategy formulation out to tech teams and leaving investment decisions to groups that don't have a full view of the organization or its goals. Just when responsible leadership is more crucial than ever, leaders are abdicating their role in understanding and executing in the new world of human-machine collaboration. A generation of AI transformation failures awaits if leaders don't connect their use of AI to their strategies. Hence this module will set the ground and helps leaders take control of the wildly rapid deployment of AI across businesses.
