Based on corporate governance theory and respective corporate law, this course will examine key findings of the empirical literature and contrast these with actual examples from the market. A particular focus is on sustainability-related decisions of corporate governance actors. Participants will get an overview and understanding of the duties and objectives of the main actors of corporate governance and learn how the current developments in the environmental and social space impact the existing corporate governance framework and its actors. Another focus is on the current legal framework and regulation development, key drivers of every corporate governance framework.
This course is for all those who are interested in different corporate governance topics and their relevance to environmental and social topics. This course is designed for practitioners who want to understand the implications of ESG on corporate governance and the legal aspects.

Presentation
Grades for assessments are given in half grades on a scale of 1 to 6. 6 is the highest grade, 1 the lowest. ECTS credits are awarded if the overall score is a grade of 4 or better.

From 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Center for Continuing Education of the University of Zurich at Schaffhauserstrasse 228 in 8057 Zurich.
